The coronavirus crisis has hit our social lives and economies in unprecedented ways. It made us reevaluate existing standards, magnified broken systems in societies, reminded us about the essentials of life and left us with mixed feelings about the future. At the same time state debts are tremendously high, some experts proclaim the end of capitalism as the Western world knows it, and the Amazon rainforest – the green lunges of the planet – continues to be burned down despite climate security agreements. Nothing to feel good about, but still there is hope!
Given the current challenging times, I felt the urge to gather extraordinary practitioners and experts from different industries for a special series of online talks during UN General Assembly and Climate Week end of September to facilitate conversations and insights at the intersection of the climate crisis – globalization – digitalization – sustainability – equality and politics. And most importantly, to inspire to take action and to explore collectively how we can create a desirable, more equitable future.
The overarching theme for the online talks is „This Decade of Systemic Changes“ and they contribute to the educational programming of the not-for-profit Awards.

I will speak at one of China’s biggest tech events, Slush Shanghai 2019. I’m going to moderate a fireside chat with Visa and Wirecard, discussing how to drive collaborations for innovation across countries. Slush Shanghai is one of the biggest technology and innovation conferences in China. The conference attracts approx. 15.000 attendees this year.
I curated a panel discussion during UN Women Week in New York in 2019, that was part of a local network event I organized with SHE FOR SOCIAL IMPACT, the international platform and network that I founded in 2018. The panel was kindly hosted by New York based female-focused angel investor network Golden Seeds. I invited three leading female executives onto stage from three different continents (USA, Europe, Africa) and from three different industries to discuss the future of impact-led businesses and investing together with them.
I was invited to take part in a panel discussion about digital transformation and gender equality, curated by HenkelX Ventures during the NFK Summit 2018 in Dusseldorf, Germany.
For the edition in 2015 I was invited to take part in a panel discussion during Asia Pacific Week Berlin discussing innovation driven by civic movements and culture. The Asia Pacific Week Berlin offers a platform to establish an international startup ecosystem between Berlin and Asia.
